JOB_DESCRIPTION_

We are seeking a motivated Project Manager to join our PMO team and contribute to the delivery of our autonomous technology. In this role, you will work closely with all departments within the business and external stakeholders. 

The role will be based in Oxford with regular travel to project sites including Sunderland.

The Role

  • Working closely within the PMO team to prepare comprehensive action plans, including resources, timeframes and budgets for projects.
  • Liaising with InnovateUK in respect to claims for funds in a timely manner.
  • Liaise with key stakeholders to identify and define requirements, scope and objectives and ensuring successful delivery of the programme and/or projects
  • Manage  project teams within the office and remotely
  • Maintaining and monitoring project plans ensuring project deadlines are met
  • Preparation and presentation of material to support external and internal project status reviews
  • Work closely  with the project team and technical leads to identify risks and issues and implement mitigation strategies
  • Use tools to monitor working hours and expenditures and ensure team are submitting information in a timely manner
  • Support the development and implementation of cross business project processes
  • Report progress and escalate to Leadership team as needed
  • Able to travel to Project locations on a regular basis, initially Sunderland for the V-CAL project

Skills/Experience

  • Minimum 2-3 years proven work experience as a Project Manager
  • Prior experience in automotive, aerospace, and/or technology experience is essential
  • Minimum Engineering or Science Bachelor’s degree. 
  • MP/PRINCE 2/APM qualification is a plus
  • Hands-on experience with project management tools
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • Experience working with government grant funding
  • Experience seeing projects through the full life cycle
  • Ability to effectively manage risks and issues as they arise
  • Solid organisational skills, including multitasking and time-management
  • Ability to build strong relationships with project multi-disciplinary teams
  • Hands-on experience with project management tools
  • Detail and process orientated 
  • Excellent problem solver
  • Able to build good relationships at all levels, internally and externally
  • Effective at working with other team members to gather the required information
  • Ability to produce high quality documentation using Microsoft Word, Powerpoint etc
