Procurement & Stores Officer

JOB_DESCRIPTION_

We are seeking a motivated Procurement & Stores individual to join our Production Team and contribute to the delivery of our autonomous technology . In this role, you will work closely with all departments within the business.

The role will be based in Oxford.

The role: 

  • Using existing inventory management software to enable smooth procurement and stores management.
  • Sourcing suppliers – negotiate supplier agreements and monitor cost efficiency.
  • Placing and tracking orders with appropriate suppliers based on internal stakeholders requirements.
  • Generating quotes for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Creating purchase orders and receiving proforma invoices from suppliers.
  • Creating commercial invoices for goods going abroad.
  • Creating and updating a bill of materials (BOM) to keep track of all procurement/stock movement during projects. 
  • Creating assembly orders – shop orders.
  • Receiving goods and checking against delivery notes/PO’s to ensure accurate quantities are received. 
  • Storing and safekeeping of goods in the warehouse.
  • Forecast stock trends and their impact on future projects.
  • Picking/packing parts on shop orders to be made into assemblies by the production team.
  • Undertake regular stock counts and maintain accurate stock records. 
  • Organising delivery and tracking of vehicles and/or products to customers.
  • Undertake any other work in connection with the job as may be requested.

Requirements: 

  • Minimum 2 years proven experience in a procurement or similar type role.
  • Hand-on experience with inventory management software/tools.
  • Ability to prioritise workload to meet strict deadlines.
  • Solid organisation skills, including multitasking and time-management.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • Detail and process orientated.
  • Excellent problem solver.
  • Able to build good relationships at all levels.
  • IT literate, experience of Google and/or Microsoft packages.
  • Good knowledge of spreadsheets.
  • A plus – a CIPS qualification
  • Prior experience in automotive, aerospace, and/or technology experience is preferred.
